To promote the new season of the Swamp People reality series, History Channel’s Affiliate Marketing Department enlisted us to create graphics for a consumer engagement game. Realized in collaboration with History’s game development team, the game would launch through DirecTV’s Facebook page and would also serve as a promotional tool for DirecTV.
Our primary goal was to create an environment that was easy to navigate and on-brand with the established look of Swamp People. The home page design featured prominent key art from the series, and subsequent pages featured a combination of atmospheric photos and commissioned illustration.
In the weeks that the game was active, DirecTV saw an increase in “likes” and activity on their Facebook page, and the heightened awareness of the series increased viewership during the season.
